This was a very special piece for me. Die Hard is my all time favorite Christmas flick and even action film for that matter. This poster was privately commissioned for a small group of poster collectors. I found it surprising a Die Hard poster hadnt been created yet on a larger scale print in the poster scene. I however jumped at the opportunity to create one myself.
I think I really captured the essence of the film. The shards of glass with faces pays a bit of hommage to and acts as kind of a companion piece to my “Happy Trails, Hans” print I did for Hero Complex Gallery. I kept going with that theme and it seemed to fit pretttty well. We went with an off-white stock and metallic inks for the glass shards and Nakatomi Plaza. I hid a nice little gem in the windows…can you see it?
Greetings Ladies & Germs!
Welcome to the new site, ya’ll! Over the next few days and maybe weeks you’ll see some gradual changes throughout the site. I’ve simplified the overall pages and got rid of unnecessary junk and made important things more prominent!
Im going to try and keep my site as frequently updated as possible. I know I’ve been lacking on that end of things. I swear if people could see how the inside of my brain works, you’d wonder how I get anything done.
Especially with news updates and what my plans are as well as more insight into me as a like…human being. Im sure there might only be few people who care to know that stuff but maybe ill seem like less of a ghost for that matter.
So all in all, welcome. Enjoy.
More updates to come!
Happy Halloween Season!
So I was commissioned months ago to produce/design a limited and licensed silk-screened poster for the Steel City Secret Cinema out of Pittsburgh. I was lucky enough to be asked to design a poster for a classic and one of my favorite zombie hits…George A. Romero’s DAY OF THE DEAD. Needless to say I was beyond stoked.
The event/screening acted as a fundraiser for the Hollywood Threater in Pittsburgh. A chance to help raise money for the theater to remain open - which would require them to get a new digital film projector. Quite the costly feat. The event was a hit, and few copies were available at the show. They will be selling remaining copies online tomorrow (Monday / 04 / 29) and you can grab yourself a copy HERE.
